On May 16 supporters of Kohala Hospital converged on Kahua Ranch, many wearing boots, to enjoy the live music of North Shor and a German-inspired lunch spread of beer, ‘brats, and barbeque. All were invited to bid on dozens of local silent and live auction items, some of which sold for thousands of dollars with plenty of encouragement by auctioneer Jon Adams.
Ticket and auction proceeds, totaling nearly $76,000 from the 3rd annual event, will fund new emergency room construction and equipment at the hospital.
